LIMA 07 - The Langkawi Airshow’s official organizer, World Aerospace Sdn Bhd has formed an alliance with Global Flying Hospitals on an initiative to raise awareness during an upcoming LIMA 07 Gala Fundraiser.

Renowned for its 5-day defense and  aerospace exhibition,  LIMA 07’s scheduled conferences on ‘Aerospace and Aviation’ including cutting-edge technology of the UV ‘Unmanned Vehicle’, ‘Space Satellite Workshop’, and ‘Defense Procurement Seminar’, guarantee a full military attendance along with visitors making their way from all over the world.

With a strong belief in the integrity and nobility of the project, World Aerospace Sdn Bhd CEO, Pn Nonee Ashirin Radzi shares, “It is not just about moving people and cargo anymore, but in repairing a sick and troubled world!  We will work closely with GFH on the possibility of exhibiting a prototype model and displaying the features of the flying hospitals at the static display area during our air show.”

This coalition is currently examining the prospect of acquiring the 1st cargo aircraft planned for the fleet; a ‘Hercules C130 type’ for a static display at the upcoming show. Future missions are sure to see this type ferrying roll-off medical field clinics to remote villages to undergird the jets.  Ten aircrafts are planned for acquisition and refurbishment in Stage 1; (2007 – 2012).

HEALING OUR WORLD WITH AVIATION ISSION: POSSIBLE M
Project “Healing our World with Aviation” is the vision of Global Flying Hospitals’ CEO, Neill Newton. With an objective to build a ‘life-transforming solution’ to aid the millions who suffer around the world from lack of medical care, Newton’s mission is to utilize Boeing 747s into refurbished high-tech surgical hospitals, including dental and eye clinics. To create a ‘world medical aviation fleet’.
THE UNITED NATIONS
Recognized by the United Nations as a humanitarian base, Subang Airport will be transformed into a hub for Global Flying Hospitals aircraft. The project is to bring humanitarian support and medical aid to more than one hundred developing countries.
GFH’s exciting and profound vision is to operate a ‘global humanitarian medical charity’ which provides free life-changing medical care to tens of thousands of suffering people in developing countries worldwide.

The LIMA 07 Gala Charity Dinner marks a 50-year milestone of Malaysian Independence & Aerospace Industry Achievements, and will be jointly organized with MiGHT ‘The Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology’, capturing the past, present and future of the Malaysian Aerospace Industry.

Newton states, “Malaysia was chosen as the global ‘operations hub’ due to its strategic location and proximity to developing countries. After much research, we decided to base in Kuala Lumpur, with its lower operational costs than the West, plus strong IT and Human Resource infrastructure. For Malaysia, it will receive the world’s positive media spotlight, once the big hospitals are flying!”
Global Flying Hospitals CEO, Neill Newton: “Our planet is now in real bad shape, with over 100 developing countries containing over 2 billion, or one-third, of our fellow human beings in desperate need.  Little children in pain, mothers suffering! It simply should not be so!  Malaysia is truly perfectly positioned and will be known as the only country that is; Healing our World with Aviation!”
