nce upon a time there were three teenaged boys who lived in a place called Bromsgrove. Now you’re probably asking... “Where?”  In geographical terms, it’s located in Worcestershire, just 16 miles northeast of Worcester and 18 miles southwest of Birmingham. That’s in England... in the UK!

Go ahead and ask, “Who are these guys?” With an audience of almost 500,000 and growing, this lip synching trio;   Daniel “Parka” Parker (Virgo), Adam “Haji” Hague (Sagittarius), and William “Weasel” Brazier (Aquarius) have gained notoriety for their unstaged YouTube performances.

Last the world heard of such entertainment was at the hands of 1990 Grammy Award winning duo, Milli Vanilli ...but nothing like that going on here... Parka, Haji and Weasel are  mates simply having a great time -- finding ways to have fun that are safe and creative.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: How did you get the name Parkez17,  and your nicknames; Parka, Weasel and Haji?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: The first part ‘Parkez’ is from me, Parka, as it is me who created the YouTube account. The ‘17’ is my number for the team I play for. I got my name Parka simply as it is basically my surname!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: I got Haji, just as it used to be my surname, but a few years ago had it changed.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: I got the nickname Weasel mainly because that’s what all my friends call me, for no reason!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: How did the three of you meet?
DAN “Parka” PARKER, ADAM “Haji” HAGUE, WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: We are all school mates and regularly hang out at the local park, ‘Avoncroft’.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: What gave you the idea of doing these YouTube videos?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: One day at my house, we decided to record ourselves messing around. Soon it turned into lip syncing different music tracks!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Did you think that you would have such a great response from fans?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: No, I didn’t even imagine that we would put it on the internet, let alone people worshipping the videos we make!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: No, I had no idea. At first I didn’t realize how popular YouTube was, but when our first few videos went on, I knew we would be a hit!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: I was just doing it for a laugh, but never expected us to be this big!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Why do you think people enjoy watching your videos so much?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: I think the fact that we make mistakes in the videos is always funny.

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: I think as it’s three young lads having a good laugh on screen.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: It’s a  laugh, and I think people can relate to us.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: What do you do to prepare for each video -- is it rehearsed or improvised?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: All we do is try to assign parts to each verse and chorus, etc. We don’t like it to look rehearsed!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: The best bit is when we mess up!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: We just choose a few things and see what happens!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Is there a political or cultural statement that you are making with these videos, or are they just for fun?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: No, just plain and simple fun!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: Just for fun!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: It’s all about the fun, isn’t it kids?

CHANEL LALLOUZ: How do you feel about today’s music industry?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: The music industry is at its prime, making it easier for us mimers!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: I believe it is the best time to get into it!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: I think today’s music industry is at its best in years. Thanks to the internet, people get to hear about all the new undiscovered bands.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Is this a stepping stone to get into the entertainment industry? What are some of your other interests?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: I wish. I would love this to help us go to the ‘next level’. I love to watch football, and play right midfield for my Sunday team, ‘Meadow Park’. Love to go out and about with all my mates.

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: Haha, I wish! However I feel there are no real opportunities for lip syncers. My hobbies are football where I play left midfield for the same team as Dan, and love to go out with my mates!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: Same again, I wish! It would be good, but I doubt it. My hobbies include football, music and being with my friends.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: How do you respond to those viewers who criticize you, as opposed to those who support you?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: They are just jealous! It has to be expected really... although most comments are very positive!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: We just laugh at our criticisms. I see it as jealousy and we have to expect it when a lot of people are watching our videos.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: We knew from the start, we would get people like this. We expect it.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Has Bromsgrove dubbed you their local celebrities?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: We have been recognized once or twice!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: We do get recognized from time to time, however there has been no real recognition for our talent.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: No, just grief off my friends as our popularity rises!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: How do your family members feel about your lip syncing YouTube performances?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: They are pretty amused by it, especially as it is in my study!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: They feel happy that we are actually doing something good.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: They find it funny, and fully support me.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: ‘Career wise’, what do you want to become when you’re older?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: I would really like to go into running my own business, anything really! But first of all, I would like to do well in my GCSEs!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: Cosmetic surgeon. I want to help people and make a difference.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: I haven’t really decided, but I wouldn’t mind going into something to do with media.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Who is your favorite artist?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: I don’t really have a favourite artist, but I’m into all kinds of RnB, rap and hip hop!

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: I don’t really have one single artist I like, but I like rap and RnB... people like 50 Cent.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: Well, I just like discovering new bands like ‘Hot Club de Paris’.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: What is the weirdest thing a fan has written to you?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: Some things are quite rude! I have read all the fan mail, and one person offered my friend 40 pounds to show her where I lived! Haha.

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: Explicit things which would be too rude to be published!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: Muddy boxers.

CHANEL LALLOUZ: Have you received any marriage proposals?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: Not recently...

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: No! I’m too young -- wouldn’t mind a few though!

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: I’m actually married with three children... joke!

CHANEL LALLOUZ: If you had a message for today’s generation, what would it be?
DAN “Parka” PARKER: Take up lip syncing, get good grades, and if possible... win the lottery.

ADAM “Haji” HAGUE: Study hard, help mankind and most of all have fun.

WILL “Weasel” BRAZIER: Just say no... to everything.
