All he would ‘say’ to me was “I walked in badger’s blood… I walked in badger’s blood…” This was quite disconcerting, as you can imagine. I didn’t understand what he was saying. I asked Jenny if she could remember riding near a dead badger, but she couldn’t recall any accident or road kill. Apparently he had very nearly caused serious injury to Jenny’s daughter and to himself, as he had bolted out when hunting, crashing through trees and fences. Fearing for her safety, she had baled out and he had finally been caught, and they had called me in their attempt to calm him.
With some trepidation I entered his stable. I was drawn to remove some negative energy from his front hooves as there was obviously some trapped emotion there. I will describe the healing techniques in more detail later in the chapter on negative energies and entities. I lifted each hoof and using my pendulum I visualized ‘drawing’ out the bad energy. I then cleansed my crystal pendulum in water. The pendulum had swung violently whilst being held over the sole of the hoof. Woody had obviously been affected by something in his feet. The only trigger Jenny could think of was that when he had recently been reshod, the Farrier had had to reposition one of the nails, leaving a tiny hole in the wall of the hoof. This is something normally very inconsequential. I asked Jenny if the challenging behaviour had started before or after the shoeing and she felt that it was just after he had been shod.
After checking that the pendulum no longer showed any ‘negative energy’, I tried to check on the rest of Woody’s body, but he was having none of it! Both Jenny and I felt that discretion was the better part of valour and we removed ourselves from his stable. He was really anxious now. As I closed the stable door and was sliding the bolt, he dropped two words into my head that made my blood run cold, “The Somme”.
