Where The World Meets™ How can one go from joy to discord so easily? Why is it that as humans, we can have so many emotions, and at the mercy of our own minds? What prompts us to be so inconsistent in our lives? Dear God, When dwelling on the past, one can only assume that life continues and circumstances repeat themselves. And so, it is in the mind. Humans will repeat thoughts, memories and feelings that they have experienced in every moment of their lives. The uncontrollable thoughts that submerge for no other reason than to fill our minds can happen when you are not focused on a particular subject or endeavor. It is then that the mind will relapse onto the emotion you were last focused on. If the focus is enjoyable, the mind will relapse to one of a happier time, comparable to what it was experiencing. If one was last concentrated in a state of frustration, the mind will relapse and wander off, allowing thoughts of similar nature to be experienced. You are conditioned by your own mind and how you perceive your past experiences. There is no telling how you would perceive these same experiences if they were to happen now. Given the chance to do it all over again, perhaps you would feel quite differently about these same situations. They’d probably cause much less impact... at least most of them. how does one create more consistency in mind? How do I not let my emotions get the best of me? I feel like I’m up one day and down the next? Again, it is a matter of how you perceive every instant. If you believe that what you are experiencing is “good or bad” and judging everything that occurs, then you’re branding each moment of your life. Pretty soon, you have many good experiences and many bad experiences. Be aware. Stand back and observe more. Allow your passion for life to direct you into feeling excited about what presents itself. By holding back judgment, you would have fewer judgments about your life and the world in general. So you see, it is judgments that colour your view of the world, not the world itself. Look upon the situation from a whole new perspective, standing back from the situation, in awe of it, in wonder of it, even presenting itself to you. What a unique gift that life brings you, this very moment for you to give your fullest attention to. what do I do as I see things? imagine How precious the universe is, asking for your attention or input in a particular situation. what part of you would step forward? The teacher part... Or the child disappointed in seeing something it doesn’t want? How will you share yourself with the world today?
